made his grand entrance at 5:43 PM on Thursday, December 22nd.
9lb 1 oz 21" long
Everything. Perfect.

This is Billy & Courtney's 4th child in 5 years (God bless them),
and I am especially excited about this one!
Not that I'm having any sort of baby fever, 
but I think that I'm finally seeing that having a baby isn't the worst possible thing that could happen to Matt & I.
The Lord won't give us anything more than we can handle, right?
Man, what an awesome promise!
Also, we haven't had a newborn in the family since Hurley Rae two years ago!

The Art of Talking to a Pregnant Woman

I have previously written about peoples' funny comments to me which I thought were endearing and quirky so far. This last week, some of those comments crossed into the "that's none of your business" category. Pre-pregnancy I never posted one picture or video of what I do at CrossFit. Frankly, it's awkward to me to ask my coach, "Can you video me making funny faces and grunting while lifting this man wight? Thanks." But since I'm still lifting and doing CF during my pregnancy, I am proud of myself and wanted to show "the world" (i.e. Facebook) what it looks like for a pregnant woman to do CF. (b/c it's becoming more and more comical) With my first video, I had all positive comments. Lots of women my age really wish they would've continued working out during their pregnancy and vow to do so the next time around. Lots of women were so sick, they couldn't even think of working out. Give You a Break!!

One of the most important lessons I learned from life coaching during my divorce process was how to give myself grace. (Side note: life coaching is where people get certified to not "counsel" you but moreso ask you questions so that you can figure out how to get healthy on your own). I had no idea how hard I was on myself all the time. "You really should drink more water", "That laundry ain't gonna do itself", "Why can't you stay at your goal weight?", "You know, good moms cook more than once a month..." and it went on and on. All day. Constantly. When I first started talking to my coach, she caught onto this cycle very quickly. She urged me over and over,  "You have got to give yourself some grace!" Embracing this new habit as been one of the most liberating concepts I have ever learned.
