Blogs Are Overwhelming!!!/Slingshot







When I started this blogging stuff, I was so excited to express my thoughts with the blogging world. I soon realized that my own thoughts were quite numerous and overwhelming to me and would; therefore, be quite overwhelming for the blogging world.

So, my new blogging goal, while I learn how to navigate this business, is to be concise. I was recently inspired by Stephanie Nielson's blog, the Nie Nie Dialogues

She posts everyday, but it's nothing overpowering or wordy or lengthy.

Just a few lines, Relaying her day, Her thoughts.

"I can do that." I thought. So..........here goes.............

MATT PASSED THE BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe his exact words were, "This is a slingshot in the right direction of our future together."

The next words I heard was, "a proposal is in the near future...I'm close to buying a ring...we need to go ring shopping again..." At least that's what I thought I heard. I might be mistaken. Drat!

All that to say......my man is on the fast track to lawyerhood and I couldn't be more proud of him!

First Blog Ever!!!!!!!!

I have serious doubts about my current writing ability post-college; therefore, my first blog will consist of a story I wrote in my Creative Writing class my Junior year at Tech. Don't be concerned because of the seemingly violent nature of the story...it's just a story. I don't need therapy...anyway. Piercings, Puppies and Push-Ups

Yes, it has been 2 months since I've written. No, I haven't been living under a rock during that time. I admitted at the beginning of this blogging adventure that I'm not consistent with it and that it overwhelms me.  For all those non-bloggers out there, blogging is challenging. I find that I look at experiences in the light of, "Oh, my readers would like this!" or "What have I learned from this that I can write about?" Obviously, it's much easier to just coast through normal, boring days and even eventful, trying days without a time of retrospection. So, I am coming forth and admitting that I have coasted through the last 2 months, but alas, I am ready to confront life again with an inquisitive mind! For many people, inquisition is natural.
