Go to Your Happy Place

You know what's really frustrating?! When you step out, in faith, and answer a call you firmly believe is of the Lord and Satan seems to be standing right there just waiting to knock you down! That. Is. Frustrating! Especially since when you're doing someone based on faith, it's usually putting you out of your comfort zone in the first place, and then you start doubting what you're doing and who you are and then you realize,  "Hey! This is what they call being attacked spiritually!" Now, I don't like to over-spiritualize things, and I get very annoyed with people who use a spiritual metaphor for every instance in their day! "My coffee spilled on my shirt this morning. I think the Lord's telling me not to go to work." Not. OK. Being Met

Back from Cancun!!!! And it was wonderful! I will dedicate a whole post to it later this week complete with pictures. Today's blog is all about excitement in new opportunities with my husband. Two weeks ago, we heard an announcement in church that Life Groups were about to start. We have been wanting to join one for a while. Although I've attended Trinity for 23 years, I know only one or two other newly married couples. So sad! One of the downfalls of a massive church! Anyway, we talked to the information desk after service to see how we could connect with  other couples in our age group, newly married or engaged, maybe no kids... There really wasn't anything. Really?! In a church with thousands of members?! Surely this was an area of need that wasn't being met! We responded with volunteering to lead a group ourselves if there wasn't one, and talk about God opening the door immediately to a new chapter in our married life! We quick...
