What a perfectly wonderful weekend to get my mind out of the funk! My cousin, Cynthia, had a fashion show at the Dallas Market Friday, so my aunt Lisa invited Mom & I to join her and her 3 girls for a Girls Weekend! Cynthia only made the one garment and really didn't think it would "walk" b/c she had made it out of denim and that is rarely a theme in this fashion show. The themes are pre-determined by the show committe. Well, lo & behold, denim WAS a theme, and my darling cousin's dress was picked out of thousands to be one of 200 to walk the runway. Yes, yes it is me up and at'm in the blogging world again. A lot has happened over the last 3 weeks... I just never took the time to write it all down. Shame on me. One thing that you probably saw on FB was that our dear puppy, Channing, passed away. His meds weren't working anymore, and he had a really bad episode Monday night where we literally thought he was dying in our arms. I put him to bed that night expecting him to not wake up in the morning. He woke up, but he never fully recovered and passed away at the vet's clinic Wed. afternoon. While I was shocked that he actually didn't make it, I was also a bit relieved, sadly. It was like taking care of a special needs dog for the last 2 months. Matt & I were constantly asking ourselves how much we wanted to spend at the vet next. Channing would keep us up at night, and I could feel myself constantly tense while around him, not sure what symptom would manifest itself next. Normally, I...

"Unto us a child is born"...literally! Wyatt James Neufeld made his grand entrance at 5:43 PM on Thursday, December 22nd. 9lb 1 oz 21" long Everything. Perfect. This is Billy & Courtney's 4th child in 5 years (God bless them), and I am especially excited about this one! Not that I'm having any sort of baby fever,  but I think that I'm finally seeing that having a baby isn't the worst possible thing that could happen to Matt & I. The Lord won't give us anything more than we can handle, right? Man, what an awesome promise! Also, we haven't had a newborn in the family since Hurley Rae two years ago!
